THE T-TEN PROGRAM

Toyota's Technician Training & Education Network (T-TEN) is an automotive technician-training program. A partnership between Toyota, community colleges, vocational schools and Toyota, Scion and Lexus dealerships, T-TEN is an industry leading program helping to develop and place thousands of factory certified technicians in challenging, rewarding and well paid positions in our over 1,400+ Toyota, Scion and Lexus dealerships across the country.

The T-TEN program provides state-of-the art, hands-on automotive diagnosis and repair education and training in classroom and dealership settings. T-TEN is an important part of Toyota's ongoing effort and commitment to provide every owner of a Toyota, Scion and Lexus with the most satisfying ownership experience possible. Toyota is committed to help make the T-TEN Program the industry standard.

*Excluding Hawaii and Puerto Rico.

T-TEN EDUCATION & TRAINING

T-TEN world-class training is available with different programs, degrees and certificate options. The typical program is two years and can lead to an associate's degree.

T-TEN programs are not your average automotive programs. Schools that partner with Toyota agree to comply with rigorous training standards. Starting with NATEF** accreditation, each T-TEN school goes through a two year certification process under Toyota's leadership. No other manufacturer technician-training program provides the level of support to students, schools and dealerships that Toyota does.

RECRUITING

The T-TEN recruiting philosophy and effort is focused on identifying prospective students with a high potential for success and prepared to make early commitments to their local, sponsoring dealerships.

Toyota supports AYES (Automotive Youth Educational Systems), an educational partnership among automotive manufacturers, the automotive service aftermarket community, auto service employers and high schools. T-TEN students often begin their training in an AYES program.

ASE Certification (National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence), is the only independent industry certification, and all T-TEN Technicians are required to become ASE Certified.

Toyota is also a sponsor of SkillsUSA, a career and technical student organization serving high school, college students and professional members enrolled in technical training programs or classes.

RESULTS

Since its' inception in 1986, T-TEN has been considered as the auto manufacturers' benchmark for technician career-entry programs, with over 10,000 students that have completed the program and received Toyota factory Certification. Each year 9 out of 10 T-TEN graduates are hired by a Toyota or Lexus Dealer.

T-TEN graduates have not only successfully applied their T-TEN training as technicians, hundreds have progressed into other positions, including Dealership Service Management, or various corporate, manufacturing or field positions within Toyota.
