Customer Relations Internship (CRI)
You want to blaze a trail? Start here with a Toyota Internship. In Customer Relations, we give talented individuals every opportunity for success. This entry-level internship begins with comprehensive three-week classroom training. You will learn the ins and outs of Toyota, Lexus and Scion as well as boost your communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Customer Relations internship is designed as a 12-month program. During the summer months (June, July and August) you will work full-time (40 hours per week). Based on performance, during the school year, you may be selected to work part-time (12-15 hours per week) on a variable schedule but with a commitment to work every Saturday and a minimum of four hours every Monday. When you have completed your training you will join Toyota Motor Sales, USA, Inc. as a Customer Relations Intern, working in one of our two world-class call centers, both located at our Toyota Motor Sales, USA, Inc. headquarters in Torrance, CA. In addition to educating customers about our products and services, you will act as a liaison between Toyota owners, prospective consumers, dealerships, region offices, and headquarters.
Excellent communication, analytical, time management, problem solving, and organizational skills are also a must, as is the ability to multitask and work as part of a team within a professional corporate setting. Attendance and punctuality are essential to this position.
Candidates must be Undergraduate students with Senior or rising Junior standing, who are local to the Torrance, CA area. Bilingual candidates (English-Spanish) are a plus.
A Customer Relationship internship offers a tremendous opportunity to learn about our products, the inner workings of the company, and how to effectively work with our diverse customer base. The skills you acquire will be invaluable to your career in business. Upon completion of the internship, you may be considered for full-time Customer Relations Representative openings.
Our program starts in July each year. Opportunities will be posted on our website each January.
